Guest guest
I realize I am new here and so it might be inappropriate for me to ask a favor so soon, but I am hoping some of you natural perfumers could address a certain situation. There is a company with thousands of followers and hundreds, maybe even thousands, of MLM-style salespeople - called Ava NonToxic. She has HUGE outreach because basically, every time the Campaign for safe Cosmetics is interviewed for an article, they point to this company as the example and role model of " natural, non-toxic " (even organic which they are not) cosmetics. The owner has written things that are so outrageous on her Facebook page - yet anyone who challenges her there gets blocked and banned. Here are the ingredients she lists for her " 100% essential oil " perfumes: Hope – Ava Perfume From Essential Oils. Ingredients: Absinthe, Amber, Cacao, Cassis, Coconut, Lily, Lychee, Opoponax, Orris, Passion Flower, Sandalwood, White Cranberry, White Freesia. Love – Ava Perfume From Essential Oils. Ingredients: Coconut, Iris, Jacaranda Wood, Jasmine, Massoia Bark, Muhuhu, Neroli, Oakmoss, Rose, Vanilla, Zdravets. Joy – Ava Perfume From Essential Oils. Ingredients: Amber Musk, Bergamot, Black Currant, Coconut, Grapefruit, Lavender, Tangerine, Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, Mandarin, Rose, Vanilla. I have reached out to everyone I know personally in the aromatherapy community but no one seems to want to take on this battle. So I am hoping some of you can help. TRUE natural perfume is such a blessing and for consumers to be mislead this way is a crime, in my opinion. Maybe articles about ingredients " claimed " to be essential oils which are not? Even postings on her Facebook page would reach her readers/followers before she has a chance to delete them. I know a couple of mine lasted as long as 4 days before they were " discovered " ! I have done all I can with a series of articles on one of my blogs: http://www.greenwala.com/channels/family-go-green/blog/20189-PERFUME-what-s-on-t\ he-label http://www.greenwala.com/profiles/susan-sawhill-apito/blog/20151-What-Is-an-Esse\ ntial-Oil http://www.greenwala.com/profiles/susan-sawhill-apito/blog/20239-Campaign-for-Sa\ fe-Cosmetics-CHAMPION-hides-perfume-allergens http://www.greenwala.com/profiles/susan-sawhill-apito/blog/20193-SERIES-Is-this-\ an-EO-Oakmoss http://www.greenwala.com/profiles/susan-sawhill-apito/blog/20156-SERIES-Is-this-\ an-EO-Lily-of-the-Valley http://www.greenwala.com/profiles/susan-sawhill-apito/blog/20172-SERIES-Is-this-\ an-EO-Amber-musk http://www.greenwala.com/profiles/susan-sawhill-apito/blog/20152-SERIES-Is-this-\ an-EO-Massoia-bark http://www.greenwala.com/channels/eco-beauty/blog/20145-WARNING-avaSCENT-are-syn\ thetic-fragrances THANKS!
