Guest guest
Nagla, This site has some great comfort food recipes. Thanks for the link! I buy most of the same products she does and, unfortunately for us GF-ers, shoestring is not the word I would use. But if we have to buy it, amazon definitely does save money. On another note, after struggling through buying gf flour mixes and trying to mix my own, I finally did some research and decided to take the $65 plunge into the 25# Better Batter flour. Unbelievably, it is all it says it is. We are now able to make gf cookies, muffins, quick breads etc with our own family recipes that are so good the kids think we’ve gone back to wheat! We took some cookies to church, and people gobbled them up telling us they were wonderful…no clue they were gluten free. So, I did the math and it is actually .40 less or more per lb than any flour or mix I can buy from amazon. I have not really plunged into the yeast breads yet, (homeschool planning for 09/10 almost done!) but that (and pie) is next week’s project. www.betterbatter.org Tina in Hockley
