Dear groupLet me introduce myself:My name is Karim Cherif and I am from the Netherlands. I am not married,I do not have any kids and I am not autistic.So what is my link with this topic?I went to the film academy last summer for a special program onDocumentary Film making. In seven weeks I had to research a topic andcreate an eight-minute short documentary. After researching differentthings I stumbled upon the autism/mercury topic. You cannot imagine howshocked I was. Initially I thought I misread the statistics.The more I researched and talked to people, the bigger the story became.After pitching the idea, I knew I had to make a decision. To tell thewhole story of Autism/Mercury would simply be too complex for the amountof time that I had to create my movie.So I basically decided to tell the story of Baxter, and how he recoveredfrom his autism.My goal was on one side to tell the world what is going on, and on theother side I wanted to let people know that there is hope.Anyways… I have put the film online, and I truly hope that you willenjoy it.
