Alkaline water

I posted this at the ionised water forum but didn't get a reply yet

and thought I would post it here as well because you all seem to

have a good knowledge base on alternative treatments.

I am interested in alkaline water because of poor immunity and

acidic body. I have searched and searched the net and I am totally

confused. Mainly because I can't think too good at the moment (due

to illness) and reading more than two lines confuses me; there is

too much technical lingo. Because I haven't worked for 5 years I am

strapped for cash and so I want a water alkalizer that

isn't too expensive. I live in Australia and found this one site

offering a low cost machine and I am wondering if someone can look

at it to tell me if it is okay or not.

It can't fix anything.  No harm in drinking it if you like it, but it is based

on a paradigm that doesn't have true proof.  And plenty of people w/CFS tried

it

and had absolutely no changes.   While I do believe we can strive for proper

balances and nutrition etc, I'm not going to go thru that over water (yet).  (I

will, however, pack up my 'special' ice anywhere I go lol.)

Has anyone ever tried ionized water (alkaline)... it is supposed to help with

viral/ immune system...

I'm just wondering if anyone has any info, bad or good. Are they just a scam,

has any one tried them and have first hand experience to report.
