Guest guest
Cloned farm animals and their offspring pose little scientific risk to the food supply, the Food and Drug Administration has concluded in a new report: http://story.news./news?tmpl=story & cid=1802 & e=5 & u=/washpost/20031031/ts\ _washpost/a44602_2003oct30 " ..it's hard to imagine that healthy animals would somehow be capable of producing unsafe food, " said F. Sundlof, director of the FDA's Center for Veterinary Medicine, which prepared the report. " No scientist I've talked to can come up with any rational theory of how that could possibly occur. " === It is comforting that the FDAs lack of imagination will allow us to test eating cloned animals. In fact it doesn't take much imagination. Many cloned animals do not survive to adulthood and scientists are not really sure why. They are not exact clones like a copy machine there are sometimes cellular diffrences. What this does to the muscle tissue (meat) may or may not be important but think about things like milk and organ meats and other products that could be flawed in ways we do not understand. Once again the American population is being experimented on in the name of AgriBusiness profits. --
