Guest guest
Is there any thoughts as why my daughter (age 10) spits up food after eating or just acid if she has an empty stomach. It doesn't bother her to much but I now that it isn't right. We are on a whole foods diet raw and coooked. I hate using that word diet. Anyway. We eat Grass fed only, butter, milk, eggs without soy, grass fed beef, chicken and lamb. We eat as much organic veggies as I can find. We have a little grain in the morning with protein and fat. We have very little honey or maple syrup and some fruit. Its like she isn't digesting her food very well. She is usually constipated. I make the fermented stuff and I like it but she has tried it and dosen't. My son (13) occasionaly does the same thing. but my husband and I don't. Am I missing something. We have been eating the NT way for 3 years and before that no artifical stuff for 2 and before that all the junk, but I cooked from scratch. I know what we eat is right but am I missing something???? IgG and IgA allergies tend to cause constipation, reflux, upset stomach, and skin problems. TINY amounts of the culprit can cause problems. Also they tend to be delayed (2 hours to 2 days after the food is eaten) and there is no simple test for them that is reliable. The usual suspects are (in more or less this order): Wheat, barley, rye Milk products Corn, Soy, yeast Eggs Fish An elimination diet is usually the easiest way to figure these things out. It can take a few weeks to make a difference though -- a meat/vegie/fruit diet (which you are mostly on, sounds like) is the fastest way to figure it out. -- Heidi
