I am wondering the same thing. So far the WFN ghee is the best tasting but I

wondered who it's made by. It doesn;t say X factor on the jars and I did heat

it a few times.

Good question. Here is what I know:

Radiant Life gets the X-Factor butter oil from a place in Nebraska called

" Green Pastures Products " (website http://208.154.155.183:8013/).

Quote:

It takes over 8 pounds of raw cream

to make one 8 ounce jar of oil.

We know that 8 pounds of cream (about 1 gallon) would make a lot more than

8 ounces of clarified butter (ghee) so Ghee and X-factor oil can't be the

same.

in a previous post says Ghee is %100 pure fat. So this is a mystery.

I emailed Mr. Wetzel (wetz@...) of Green Pastures and asked for

a nutritional breakdown but did not hear back. I don't suspect anything

nefarious but I am confused if raw/cooked Ghee is %100 oil without any

impurities, what has been done to make X-Factor oil that isn't just

essentially clarified butter or cold processed Ghee, which can be found

for 1/10th the price from WF or even cheaper made at home. It is also

confusing that no one else is makeing X-Factor oil, one would think at

that price there would be competition from small farms everywhere assuming

it is just simply centrifuged butter as WAP describes. Green Pastures does

say it is from spring fed %100 grass fed cows from the rich earth of

Nebraska.

I hope someone from Radiant or Green Pastures will enlighten the details

on the diffrence between clarified butter (centrifuge or hot processed)

and the x-factor product.

Thank You ! I sure hope we get an answer! So far we know 3

companies are making butter oil, that is centrifused. Green Pastures,

Radiant Life and WFN. Are there any more? Are they all x-factor oil

or is only Radiant Life x-factor oil and the others are ghee?
