Hi ,

I am new to perfumery and am trying to make solid perfume. We do a lot of

soap and have large amounts of coconut oil. I am concerned about coconut oil

because it changes with the weather. In summer, our oil is almost liquid,

and now during the winter, they are rock hard. I am trying to use shea

butter instead of the coconut oil.

Regards,

Kidron Soap

That was my concern as well. I wonder if mixing it with wax would moderate the

drastic changes a bit.  I really like the odor of virgin coconut oil-a true

coconut scent, actually from a coconut.  I've macerated vanilla beans in

coconut oil and the scent is divine.  In the past I've used the common Bourbon

beans, but I now have Tahitian beans soaking in the oil.  Lovely.
