> To celebrate, I'm doing a giveback/giveaway to y'all. Just leave a comment on

what you love about this group, love about natural perfumery or aromatics, or

how the information here has helped you on your natural perfumery path.

Wow, congratulations on reaching this landmark!

I have learned so much from this group and hope I've returned at least as much

(forget how many years I've been a member . . . ). This is a fabulous resource

in terms of the members, files and discussions. May the group continue for

years to come!

I have had a love affair with natural aromatics for a long time. They have

graced my life for years and have seen me through joy and sorrow. Blending is

my meditation, my solace and my happiness. The perfumes themselves are a means

to an end and not the focus of my work. I have learned much about plants as

well and this has connected me to that mysterious world of life. I wish

everyone who takes on this journey the best.

Maggie

ps. I'd love to add Anya's book to my library!

Hi and Happy 10th Anniversary!

I became part of this group almost a year ago and then became a student of

Anya's

NPI in March.

The passion that Anya had when she started this group is our gain. We can roam

freely along side each other learning and sharing our experiences about

something we all feel strongly about, working with pure unadulterated essential

oils, concretes, abs & tinctures.

I love reading the posts. Sometimes there's BICKERING! (FUN) but we all know why

we are here, and that's Anya's fault. Thank you!!!! I would choose the EO kit

for my studies.

Hello all:

First of all, Anya, congratulations on growing this successful board for a solid

10 years ... a marvelous milestone. I have enjoyed this forum so much in the

several months since I've joined. Oh, what I've been missing. The wealth of

information, so generously shared, is a valuable learning resource & I very

much appreciate the informative files & database. For the past couple of years,

I have been seriously studying essential oils, their therapeutic properties, the

plants they're derived from, aromatherapy & have been making botanical products

that heal & soothe. I have a small, 20-liter, copper alembic still which I use

to distill herbs & flowers from my garden & wildcraft for the hydrosol. Over

the years, I've practiced & made products for myself, family & friends, & have

sold a few things to those who are insistent. I don't have an actual business

as of yet. With all the lovely essential oils I've accumulated, the next quest

is to learn the perfumery aspect. So much to learn ! I have dabbled & though

I've created quite a number of aromatherapy blends, I've only made one personal

perfume that I created at the full moon during the Chinese festivities of their

New Year 2011. It came out better than I'd hoped ... so rewarding.

This forum has been a godsend & I like the positive feedback & open exchange of

ideas from like-minded folks at all levels of the spectrum of this scentual art

form. I hope to contribute at some point, but really feel like such a novice

.... so, I've simply been a 'sponge' absorbing all of the tidbits of info that

flow into my inbox daily from all you knowledgeable, lovely people.

Should I be so lucky as to get selected in the draw ... I would love any of the

wonderful offerings, but especially the textbook.

Aromatically yours,

Joya

Wow, 10 years! It's gone by so fast. I've been on this group almost since the

beginning, and, as Sonsa and I talked about the other day, I've joined and left

many groups over the years, but the NP group I've always stayed with. And for

good reason, not only have I met great people both online and in person, but

I've learned so, so much. I've been involved in aromatics since the late 80's

but my knowledge and skills took a huge leap forward since I joined this group

and reading, asking, and learning from those on the group, as well as from

reading related books and just good ol' practice! I've also enjoyed sharing any

knowledge or advice I might have. I've found many resources and suppliers

through this group. I have great memories too(the one that comes to mind,if

anyone remembers, is the controversial, but long, postings on body odor LOL).

Thank you Anya for creating this. I remember looking through the Yahoo groups

and finding this group and thinking " Oooo! This looks like it's right up my

alley " . How right I was!

Wow, the choices for the drawing! How hard to choose! Well, Anya I remember you

asking me if I wanted to launch my own line, and I told you that yes, I do, so I

think if I am picked in the drawing I will choose the consultation.

Happy 10th Anniversary Natural Perfumers!
