Having never been seen by an all-American doctor, I can't guarantee that they're not streets ahead of all others but I've very rarely had an issue with any of the doctors I've ever seen. From whatever background... And given that my diagnosis here (by doctors whose first language is not English) was really excellent, I'd just like to put a vote in the 'foreigners rock' box. Guest guest Posted May 19, 2011 Report Share Posted May 19, 2011 I had one dr from Iran . He kept saying my pulse rate was high everytime he takes it but not at my PCP. I finally told him maybe it was because he was so good looking. He was! Plus he was a very wise rheumy and spent a year and a half before diagnosing. Then I moved and saw a dr who refused the previous doctors labs and wouldn't do any of his own. Guest guest Posted May 20, 2011 Report Share Posted May 20, 2011 Boy I have to ditto ditto these two obsevation After fighting HTN for more than 25 yrs, getting a valid DX finally and spending 3months with this site and learning everything I meet the Dr. you are referencing! He never advanced my treatment an inch, not that I needed him to, and spent 45 mins. trying to convince me he needed to add a BP med after I have gotten rid of 5 and 2halves. He finally, after arguing those 45 min., took my BP and said see, it's up! He said, " see it's up " ! I figured he could say any pressure he wanted, I had 6mos of numbers with it never being over 130/72 so I told him we would do nothing without my PCP's concurrance! If my " fight or flight " had been up to par I'm not sure which I would have chosen but stay tuned. If he is still her when my recall is up I presume it will be much better and he might want to watch out, I have PTSD, too! (Actually I don't plan to see him again unless it is in conference with the dept. chair! Dr. Momin, if you have joined this group set it up and give me a call! - 8395) - 64 yo morb. ob. male - 12mm X 13mm rt. a.adnoma with previous rt. flank & testicle pain. Other Issues/Opportunities: COPD w/ft Oxygen, OSA w Bi-Pap settings 13/19, Type II Diab. and PTSD Currently on Spiro. 50 MG and titrating last 2 BP meds preparing for adrenalectomy, maybe. Current BP ave. 112/60. Meds: Duloxetine hcl 80 MG, Mirtazapine 15 MG, Liothyronine 5MCG, Methadone 15 MG (recently reduced by 5 MG), Metoprolol Tartrate 200 MG, Minoxidil 5 MG, Metformin 2000MG, Furosemide 40 MG and Spironolactone 50 MG.
