Guest guest
Hello All, So I am currently searching for new information to further my self-education as a distiller, natural perfumer, and aromatherapist. I have the Archtander - Perfume and Flavor Materials of Natural Origin and the Guenther books, as well as many older books in the era of Septimus Piesse's work. I am specifically looking for a couple of new books that will give me details about perfume blending techniques including specifics about use of modifiers, bridge notes, accessory notes, harmonizers, bouquetting, ect. Specific percentage use and aging information would also be most helpful. While I do not use synthetics, I do carry out fractional distillations and am very interested in isolates..so a manual that covers synthetics and naturals would be ok. So far I am pondering purchase of the following: The H & R Books - by Muller, Worner, Egon Oelkers Volume 1: The H & R Book of Perfume Volume 2: Fragrance guide to Feminine Notes Volume 3: Fragrance Guide to Masculine Notes Introduction to Perfumery by Tony Curtis and Perfume Legends - French Feminine Fragrances by Perfumery Practice and Principles by RR Calkin and JS Jellinek Secrets of the Still by Mrs. Firth also looks very appealing - does this book contain lots of specifics on all different types of plant distillations? I am also looking for the most up to date Aromatherapy manual I can find - one that covers most of the available essential oil and has good safety information. Any feedback would be greatly appreciate...thanks so much! Warmly, Jessie Ring Green Ring Botanicals Portland, Oregon - USA
Guest guest
Hi Jessie, I know I have all these, but I need to check if I have all these in duplicate. Al, new, unopened, creaky new! Drop me a note if you decide to buy. I think you can find and check the books via inter library loans. I might actually sell them all for the right price. They are not cheap <g>. -= =-
