Ho Folks..... Jess pointed out something interesting..... Often, when one thinks of a top note, it is thought in terms of it being a " high " scent....These scents are usually the least long lived....And yet, one will see the concept of a base note, usually thought of as a " lower " scent, defined in terms of tenacity...And a natural essence can have components of all... So....a complex essence can be both a top and/or a middle or base note...Some are considered a perfume in their own right, sort of...
