Guest guest
Hello, I've been doing both enfleurage and a tincture with osmanthus blossoms and I must say, I like the enfleurage much better. But, I have to wonder if part of the reason I am not liking the tincture as much is maybe because it needs to be re-charged way more than I have been doing. I was focusing on recharging the enfleurage more than the tincture. Oh, and I've been using the lazy method of enfleurage. I melt my solid oil-fat at a very low temp and pour it over the blossoms in a jar rather than setting each blossom face down on the solid oil-fat. I tried the latter method and found it way too time consuming and my picked flowers were going bad before I could get them all done. I don't have my own bush to pick from daily so when I find one, I pick a bag full of blossoms and store them in the fridge while I work through them.
