However, I have not had success opening many of the files. I receive an message like file not found. Are the file archives fully populated? Am I doing something wrong by double clicking on a file? I have successfully opened perhaps 2-3 of the files I have clicked on. > > Right now my primary interest is developing a notebook of formulas and learning the complimentary base, mid, and top notes found in essential oils. I have had success with some basic lotion scents. In fact, I have a lotion that my wife credits with preventing her from developing stretch marks during her recent, first pregnancy. However, I want to create more complex scents, and I want to create my own signature scent. Any recommendations of some scent formulas that will help develop my nose and expand my horizon as I work on a signature scent? > > Thanks so much! > Daddy B > Welcome Daddy B, I, too am a newbie to perfumery (although I've been using essential oils in lotions, creams and soaps. for 10 years) Last year I experimented with different essential oils to create a perfume. Without any knowledge of how to blend, I just chose the scents I like and logged the ingredients in my log book. I forgot about the perfume experiment for about a year. The other day, I opened the bottle and sniffed. Wow is all I can say. I guess you can call it beginners luck. I used a more scientific approach to perfume making the second time I created a scent. It took some tweaking but the results were successful. Follow your nose. Best Wishes, Margo Margo

Hi there! I'm new here as well. I'm still in the studying stages of perfumery. I want to make sure that I know what I'm doing before I start. Congratulations on the bundle of joy!
