Thanks! Anya ~ Such a fun dip into history. LOVED watching the participants

reactions to the aromatic perfumery materials. And the survey of the women

townfolk with their varied reactions. The lady didn't seem won over by the final

perfume though...fragrance preferences are so personal.

I just watched this. Thanks for the link. Somewhat bittersweet though due to

the passing of Alec.

Anya - So sorry to hear about your mom. How lovely that you had such a

wonderful relationship and so many memories of shared time and love.

I ordered some of the books mentioned the other day and am reading the Art and

Science of Scent. I love it. It's so descriptive and sometimes poignant.

Thanks for the suggestions.

And, if you all haven't done so yet, I find that Abe Books is often an excellent

place to get perfumery books at a good price.

It is unfortunate that such a talented man should go before his time but

fortunately for us there are film clips like this one in which he shares his

knowledge and talents with us! It may be only a short segment but we are really

able to get a " whiff " of what he was like!

Anya, you have my sympathies. My father died last year and I envy you having

such a good, warm and loving relationship with her. Some of us were not so

lucky, so count your blessings. She obviously was a great blessing in your

life!
