Guest guest
I'm reading on the internet that one way to differentiate Adolsterone Producing Adenomas vs Bilateral Adrenal Hyperplasia is to compare a supine PAC vs an upright PAC. The PAC after 4 hours of upright position should be 50% more than the morning PAC taken after 8 hours of sleep. Poor man's version, I have one upright reading from February and a supine reading from May. Different days, different months even, and different hypertensive meds. Upright was ~ 36 ng/dL and Supine was ~ 39.5 ng/dL. Morning was actually greater than afternoon which screams APA. I will take the data with a grain of salt (har har har); but Do you guys think I'm crazy to even compare the two? Or is the rise in upright PAC great enough to cover for the variables? Thanks, Honter
Guest guest
Read more about this test. I think they have to give you some other drug to do this test.
