I recently purchased some absolutes from " The Essential Oil Company " www.essentialoilscompany.com and while the oils smell lovely, I feel they are adulterated with synthetics. I should have known by the price I paid that they could not be authentic but I purchased them anyway and below is the description for the Gardenia Absolute. I wrote to the company and I am waiting for a reply. This is an authentic gardenia jasminoides maceration grown and extracted by Victorie Inc. This maceration has a stronger scent profile than all the other macerations we have tested through out the years. Our gardenia maceration is infused in a special olive oil base using a cold process extraction. Perfect for aromatherapy, skin care or natural perfumes!
