Guest guest
I received 12 new abs and co2's in the mail from Eden yesterday. I smelled all of them on strips (HEAVENLY) and noted the changes. After 1 hour or so, I started combining strips smelling away, and then noticed the Davana smelled NOTHING like it did 1 hour earlier and smelled like Green Cognac! Weird. Weird. --------------------------- I have a hard time with davana because of that tendency to change. It's best in very small doses. But, like green cognac, it can add a unique twist to florals. Guest guest
Yes, I have a problem with davana too. I really liked the fruity top note but the drydown reminded me of an ashtray! So I scratched that essence off of my things to use list. I'm curious, what were the essences that you got? ________________________________ To: NaturalPerfumery Sent: Thursday, December 8, 2011 4:38 PM Subject: Davana and Green Cognac  I received 12 new abs and co2's in the mail from Eden yesterday. Guest guest
Hi Elise, My friend and I thought the green and white cognac smelled like an old bar with the unfortunate smell of, how do I put this, having a little to much to drink and then getting the spins! I may experiment with your suggestion though, Thanks, Kristie >

However, there are quite a few aromatics that are the result of (or resemble) bodily processes that can add quite a bit to a perfume in tiny, tiny amounts. May try something with that this weekend. The cocao ab smells exactly like hot chocolate and when I smell it with the hay ab it smells like halloween candy, because I keep smelling black licorice in the hay ab at first. Guest guest
> You are so right about that. I cannot wait to have some real time to spend with my aromatics and experience those changes. Thank you, Kristie >

Maybe you could make a Halloween-themed perfume! I'm a total Halloweenie, so I completely support any Halloween blend you might come up with. I have four or five myself!  I have their Orris CO2 10%, frankincense CO2, cacao abs, hay abs, cognac(I don't remember at the moment whether it's white or green), Moroccan rose abs(I've gotten the Bulgarian in the past) and I've received samples of the violet leaf, spikenard, beeswax, davana, and carnation.  I love all the free samples they include with any order you make with them! I'm thinking that I'm going to place an order with them soon. I totally love their cinnamon CO2, which I'm running really low on, and their organic Sri Lankan vetiver. That stuff is so nice! I'm also running really low on coriander, vanilla Bourbon CO2, and rose too.
