Guest guest Posted September 4, 2008 Report Share Posted September 4, 2008 This morning I did the first 3 workouts from 10 Minute Solution Carb Burner with Dozois. I really like these and have done them quite a bit. I'm finally getting the combination at the end of the kickboxing workout and realized today that part of my problem with it is that is a space hog and I have a very tiny workout space. You shuffle to one side while jabbing and then doing another punch then you're supposed to do a front kick and then a back kick then shuffle back to the other side and do it all again. By the time I get to either side of the room I have no space at all for a front kick so I have to figure out how to modify this without losing momentum and speed (or else move some furniture out of there). The 3rd workout is plyometrics and I worked so hard. My heart rate was right around 90% max for almost the entire 10 minutes! I felt so great though!! She gives you just enough time to catch your breath and let your heart rate come down a little before sending it skyrocketing again. The first time I did this I could not keep up and felt like I'd die trying. Today it was hard work but I loved it (some of the movements I still don't get but I just modify them at the same intensity)!! After those three I did the abs workout from 10 Minute Solution Tone Trouble Zones with Amy Bento. I've only done this once or twice before. The speed wasn't bad for me this time around but I had a hard time with the band on some of the exercises. I chose this especially because I wanted to try some more band work because I want to get more comfortable with it. I'm not there yet but I made progress, some of the exercises were effective, others I was probably not doing something right! :-) For yoga I chose the Good Morning practice from Yoga Complete for Every Body Beginners 25 minutes or less menu. This was nice and I felt so relaxed at the end which I definitely needed because I had a ton of errands to run afterwards and have to go to work soon. Tomorrow is my 3rd session of Get Ripped! I'll decide after that if I'll do another week of it or not. Off to do some things around the house before the kiddies get home and I'm off to work.
