Guest guest
I have just set up a new blog as a networking tool for people who make natural or are interested in natural products (perfumes, soaps, cosmetics, clothing...) The idea behind it is that to be able to network, to define these terms, to find common ground and to make the whole discussion and the problems with the whole " Eco " and " natural " movement visible to the public, we need to speak out and be heard. I'm planning on running it as an independent thing, a bit like an Indie newspaper, with no editing as such, and each author ultimately responsible for their own contents. I was inspired by some of the group blogs out there such as the perfume reviews sites which seem to work much better with a larger number of authors...individual blogs are great, but we get much more visibilty if we group together. since I don't want this to be a commercial thing, and also want to ensure that a wide variety of opinions are there, I'm not including banners, paid for links or membership fees. The idea is to showcase the many Indie Artisans out there, and also to provide people looking for natural indie products with some real information about what to look for. And to provide product reviews which aren't just pretty and positive, but actually show the good and the bad sides of things... (Which is why I want independent reviews and am not offering banner spaces for money or the like the way most review sites do.) I'm also planning to have technical articles, new research or scientific discoveries, basically anything that has to do with natural products and Indie Artisans of any kind. Anyway, I've written a bit more about the idea behind this in my blogpost this morning. http://thenaturalplace.blogspot.com/2011/06/indie-blog-for-indies.html Have a read and let me know what you think! And if you'd like to write on the blog, send me an email! Ambrosia
