My experience is that it is almost impossible to get Medicaid for just HTN. Butonce you have a stroke or hEart failure or need dialysis it you maybe covered. Makes more sense to cover Rx of BP BEFORE these happen. Like you and I cover HIV treAtment. We need a better HTN lobby. Nearly every tax we have is

to finance some program advocated by some lobbyist. The fewer programs we have, the lower

taxes will be and the less intrusion into private lives. The fewer goodies available, the less

corporate and union money in elections.

Federal taxes ought to be to raise money to fund only those functions

enumerated in the Constitution.

Anything else is an attempt to change behaviors, attitudes, opinion, or

someone's wealth. What states do is

up to the residents of each state.

If

people had spending accounts, incentives for wise shopping and were paying

their own bills, this would be a minor problem. If I'm not mistaken, Medicare fraud and

abuse runs about $60 BILLION a year.

What would you if this happened?

You are driving and get distracted and go over the line and hit oncoming car

driver gets killed you end up in wheelchair. Family member of driver that was

killed sues for wrongful death wins case for $5,000,000.
