Guest guest
> I still really need to see if I am sensitive to cow dairy products....I guess since I never had a very blatant reaction to dairy I never gave it much thought. After I started listening to all the problems other folks have listed among various forums I have really been trying to pay attention to my reactions. -------------Try this: take your pulse and then drink a large serving of only milk on an empty stomach in the morning. Then check your pulse 15 min. after. If your pulse goes up 10+ beats/min. this suggests a food sensitivity/allergy. I tried this with eggs before I ever did the ELISA test (which showed a severe sensitivity to eggs) and my pulse went up significantly. They also say a major drop in pulse rate also indicates a problem with the food. I never had blatant reactions, either. Just general bad digestion, acne, headaches, fatigue... I never made a connection to a specific food until I tested. Probably because I was eating so many things that didn't agree with me. After eliminating these foods, when I on the rare occasion eat a lot of one, I REALLY notice a reaction. > I am glad you are doing so well. Makes me feel very hopeful that I can someday be 'normal' so to speak. I do want to start a family pretty bad, but I am aware enough to know better then to attempt it yet. --------------I'm so glad I waited to start my family now. In a way, it was a blessing that ill health and medications kept preventing me from do so until I learned about the importance of prenatal nutrition ala Weston Price. Even though I'm 34 and fears of down syndrome babies plague my husband, I think I have a much better chance of having a healthy baby eating well at this age than I would have when I was younger and in ill health. (Plus I tell him the chances don't even START to increase until you hit 35, and then the increase is gradual... he's the anxious/paranoid type though...maybe if he ascribed to NT he'd worry less-- I know I feel like I have a lot more control over how my baby turns out than I did before). > If you are interested at all in chatting a bit more I wouldn't mind discussing some of the goods and bads you have gone through recently ---------I would love to hear more about your health ups and downs as well. Would you prefer to do this in private emails since it's somewhat personal? Either way is fine with me. I think I've documented a lot of my health history on this group and the nativefamilynutrition group already, so I have no qualms about " letting it all hang out " :-) My regular email is chavez515@.... Look forward to chatting,
