I don't know why -- if it is an additive or the bran itself, but no one really gets along with it. < i understood that wild rice was not that closely related to brown...? but, as i said, this was " whole foods's " and not WFN's. i've just read that commercial wild rice is different from the foraged in that the latter has had the hull partially removed; it, the commercial, requires a longer cooking time and more liquid. i soaked overnight and cooked longer and in more liquid, so that it no longer bore any resemblance to wild rice. ah, well.... allene Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
