Guest guest
Colleagues, I recently signed up for a class held at Providence. A soft tissue technique that I have always wanted to learn more about. Im not going to post which one as I do believe this particular group can choose which professionals they want to teach to and which ones they do not. I would, however, like to contact Providence just to let them know there is a class held in their facilities that discriminates against DCs. Any idea who I may contact? I was told that the class is on to MDs, DOs, PTs and OTs. Another class held that weekend that I was also interested in is also open to clinical psychologists.... Not DCs. I think it's unethical to restrict a fully licensed (by the state of Oregon) profession with a particular skill set well within our scope and knowledge in every state we practice, from taking a particular course. I wonder how providence feels about it? -Tim Irving DC, MS, LMT
