Guest guest
Hi NP folk, Puttin' on my moderator hat here for a minute... We've got lots of new members, and I know it can be overwhelming trying to absorb all of the posting rules that we send you when you join. One that confuses a lot of people is the rule about not top-posting, because most Yahoo groups don't work that way. Top posting is how you normally respond to an email. On this list, by contrast, we request that you instead scroll down to the end of the previous poster's message, and then respond there. Also, we ask that you delete the parts of the previous post that are not directly relevant to what you are posting. These two things allow us to preserve the usefulness of our archived messages for those that want to do a search there for information on various topics. If you submit a post that is top posted, we simply delete the previous post underneath, so that it fits the format. Sometimes it makes no difference but sometimes your post won't make sense out of context. Just thought I'd mention this, because some members seemed to be confused about why their messages were turning up the way they do. Once you think you've got the hang of our formatting and can promise to do it, please feel free to write us and ask to be taken off moderation. Makes less work for us and your posts get approved much faster. Cheers all!
