Good Morning, Vidiots!

Last night I went to bed early and got up early to work out and chose Amy Bento's Slo Mo Split #3 - Chest, Bi's and Tri's.

What a creative workout! I have no critiques of this workout whatsoever other than the music is kind of dull and just there for a beat. Amy cues well and utilizes a variety of exercises, some you don't see too often. Each body part gets exercises, most have 3 sets of 8 reps each. You go slow and heavy up the weights since there are fewer reps than an endurance workout.

Here is what I used:

CHEST:

2 sets of "around the worlds" you lay down on your bench, and at body level bring the weights from your hips to above your head in a circle, turn the weights up, and bring them back. I used 8 lb dumbells like Amy.

3 sets of decline chest presses w/barbell. I used a 19 lb bar but could have probably gone up

3 sets of incline chest flyes, I used 10 lb dumbells

2 sets of staggered pushups, I had to do them on my knees

BICEPS:

3 sets of curls with a barbell, again I used the same 19 lb bar. You retract your shoulder for 2 counts, up for 2, down for 2, release for 2

"Bicep Bonfire" OW! I started with 8 lbs like Amy but for the third set had to go down to 5 lbs. You lay on an incline bench and while lying supine and arms again at body level go up 2, down 2, up by the shoulders 2, then back 2

3 sets of bicep curls with resistance band on an incline bench, You take your legs out wide and put the band around your feet and pull up for bicep curls. GREAT one!

TRICEPS:

3 sets of skull crushers, I used one 15 lb dumbell

3 sets of kickbacks with the resistance band, you wrap the middle part of the band with a towel to put on your neck. You grab up on the band, and tilting forward as usual, do your kickbacks - again, good one, and I will remember this next time I go on vacation since bands are feather light and take up no room in the suitcase!

tricep dips off the back of a decline bench.

When I scooped coffee my arms were trembling and I couldn't hold the scoop steady!

Hope everyone has a great day in Fitness!
