Guest guest
All, The Oregon Pain Management Commission has the opportunity to review the curriculums of our practitioner-level schools and make recommendations to potential upgrade of academic focus. At our last meeting, a review of Pacific University was presented , a school for Physician Assistants here in the state, found a good curriculum for acute care and its ramifications. Our discussion afterward found a consensus around the table about a need to expand their chronic pain focus. It has been suggested that a more direct focus for chronic pain management be included. Within that recommendation was the statement that their curriculum around this issue "should incorporate .... inclusion of Cam and Alternative medicine as primary treatment." (with primary treatment italicized as shown!)
