Hi,

Today I did yoga for my exercise session - my back and hips have been very tight and I decided to tweak the Jari rotation so that I can get one full-length long yoga practice in each week. I'm sorry for those I have let down by not following it as we laid it out, but I don't want to end up with more back issues! I know I can add yoga on as a 7th day workout, but I really find it hard to workout 7 days a week - I just need that one day of mental rest (mostly so I can sleep in - I find if I don't workout first thing, it doesn't happen later in the day).

Anyway, for today I did Power Yoga for Every Body - Beginner's Practice Balanced Energy. This is one of those Body Wisdom Media productions (like Yoga for Every Body) and has many different practices for different needs and levels. Barbara Benagh (sp?) is the instructor (via voice over) of this one and "" is the model demonstrating the postures. The practice I did today as 60 minutes long - it was very carefully instructed and slow paced - it was on the easy side for me, but it was nice to hold poses for a good amount of time and to really take your time getting in and out of them with very detailed instruction. Just what I needed for my back! :) I may move up to some of the Intermediate practices next time I do this DVD, or, if I'm up early enough I'd like to try the 90 minute beginners practice. There are also some other Beginner's practices ranging from 15 minutes to 45 minutes on this DVD.

And, there are practices for Intermediates and Advanced as well. As with all the Body Wisdom products I've tried so far - you get great variety for the price of one DVD!

Tomorrow will be cardio, abs and yoga, then on Friday I plan to do Ripped again.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Donna
