I just got two emails from Herb Freeman's account that are obviously hacked and have had a few others as well. Does anyone know if we are safe? Guest guest
No, I don't think it has anything to do with our list-serv in most cases. When a virus breaks into someone's email contacts (because they clicked on something suspicious in an email that they should not have!) it simply sends another email (with a spam link) to all of the contacts in that person's email account (and one of those contacts is oregondcs ), so then we all get it all over again and then some of us click on it again (foolishly) and the process repeats itself. -- J. If you have received this email in error please notify the sender.
