Guest guest
Oh I know that you can't do the exercise for me. I just want all of you to encourage me and cheer me on. I've been through a lot this year (surgery, HUGE medical bills, feeling depressed about my body) and for the most part this year has been the WORST year ever for me personally. I only had a couple of good things happen, I got my QA III (highest lincense for sign language interpreting,) and a $5 an hour raise. The rest of the year has been HORRIBLE and I can't wait for it to be over. Really NOW is the best time for me to start exercising as I feel like doing it again (not stopping!) and the surgery is over and done with. Jen nancydewolf wrote: Thanks Jen!! I can help cheer you on and encourage you but the determination can only come from you. It is the things we do when we're not being cheered on or encouraged that really show what we want... In that spirit... Go Jen go!!! Re: Christmas Day: Kathy Power Walk for Weight Loss Great job on becoming a consistent exerciser! Now you can help me....please Jen nancydewolf <nancydewolfsbcglobal (DOT) net> wrote: With all the junk I've been eating since yesterday I needed a workout! Plus, today is my 1 year anniversary as a consistent exerciser!! Yes, last year, like this year, I had extra time between festivities and decided to get a workout in. For some reason, last year it kicked off my wanting to exercise consistently, starting with 2 days a week, then 3, then more. Now I'm usually averaging between 4 and 6, sometimes 3 and sometimes 7 but mostly 5. I don't know why except that it had been buzzing around in my head for a long time and on Christmas Day 2006 I just started! :-) Anyway, today I didn't have a lot of time so I did the 30 minute walking workout. DH got me 3 lb. dumbbells (I thought I had 3 pounders before but when I weighed them I found out they were actually 2.5 pounds) among other things for Christmas (gifts of fitness posting coming later or tomorrow, we're due at my mother-in-law's soon) and I used those for the first time. For those not familiar, this workout uses hand weights for upping the cardio work and for some upper body and standing abs toning mostly while you're in motion (you don't have to use weight though, a modifier uses no weights). I would have never thought an extra 1 total pound, between both dumbbells, would really make much of a difference but holy cow, it sure did! I got such an awesome workout today! I was working so hard it seemed like a totally different workout than what I had been doing with this one! I'm noticing my cardio endurance has really shot up lately with all the cardio I've been doing, especially the more challenging workouts (like this one today) and that's pretty cool. Anyway, gotta run. Merry Christmas to everyone!!
