Guest guest
Thanks for the welcome, I think. <g> Glad to hear your knees are better. My husband has problems with his knees, too, but they are actual injuries that have been fixed or at least managed. I've been reading that knees are the most common problem area, for the entire human race. Lovely. -----Original Message-----From: exercisevideos [mailto:exercisevideos ]On Behalf Of from Michigan I've had problems with my left knee since I was 13 years old and took a judo class. In class I pulled the ligament in my knee and after that day my knee-cap dislocated (went out then went back in) ever since. It kept on dislocating, especially when I started playing volleyball when I was 18 years old. It hasn't gone out in years though (knock on wood) since I found a good knee brace to wear. It's the kind of brace that has metal stays on either side of the knee, it helps to hold it in. I ended up having problems with my right knee too when someone pushed me into a hole while playing grass volleyball, the Idiot! The Dr. thought I chipped the bone but never had surgery on it and it feels good now. So I now wear braces on both knees. My bad knee (left knee) has improved though because before I could see and feel my knee-cap slide to the outside of my knee when I would bend and straighten it instead of staying put. Now it stays in place so I know it's stronger. The Dr. showed me my X-rays and I have arthritic spurs underneath my knee-cap (left knee) and I think that I probably had arthritis in my right knee as well. Lately though my knees haven't been giving too much trouble unless it's really damp outside. My feet on the other hand (no pun intended!) have since I have arthritis in both feet. When I stop moving around during or after volleyball they hurt and when I get up in the morning they hurt. I have just learned to live with it. If you are arthritis in your knees then you will probably just have to learn to live with it as well. My family has a history of ulcers so I can't take the strong arthritis medicine so I rely on hot foot baths and heating pads. So anyway, welcome to the club of knee pain !
