Guest guest
I am considering how to best increase my weight and energy. I am very under weight and have allergies to many foods since I have all symptoms of leaky gut and candida. I also have an issue with digesting and passing fiber, I suspect I have a damaged section of my transigmoid colon. All these problems stemmed from two nasty bacteria infections and associated ABX. I cannot tolerate: Dairy (clarified butter seems ok), eggs, grains, starch (in normal/large quantities), or heavy fiber. All causes me issues, be that constipation, brain fog, allergy, or weakened immune response. I eat only two meals a day, no snacks, no breakfast, mostly I eat saturated animal fats, meat, vegetables, and small amounts of potato all cooked up in a stew. I am considering to eat more soups made with saturated fat and bone broth to help me gain weight and provide more energy. Can anyone tell me 1, is this a good idea? 2, what the upper limit would be for the amount of fat, I could consume per day without causing other issues? Please say in cup sizes of fat if possible else I get confused with working out calories and portion sizes. Regards Steve
