Guest guest Posted October 12, 2010 Report Share Posted October 12, 2010 Hi Male 35/obese/HTN/arr >80 Started on spiro 25mg BID ( 25am/25pm ) ( 12 days of medication so far ) Full medication scheme: 50mg spiro/6mg atenolol/clonazepam 1mg/20mg omeprazole PM Before 25mg atenolol/5mg amplodipine/2mg Terazosine Clonazepam 1mg/20mg omeprazole ! blood values ! Starting laboratory for NA and K: ( before spiro ) September 14 2010 NA: 140.84 (normal 137-145 ) K: 3.35 (normal 3.5-5.1 ) Laboratory Today for NA and K: ( after spiro ) October 12 2010 NA: 145.81 (normal 137-145 ) (note, this is on a DASH diet ) K: 4.9 (normal 3.5-5.1 ) Signs of dehydration: None Urine volumen has decreased with the spiro, as well as the BP. Now I do not have external signs of dehyration, I know I'm drinking less water than what I used to, because I do not get as thirsty, and I also urinate less than I usually did. I do not understand why my sodium is high, I understand why my K is normal now because of the spiro, but why my sodium raised ?? someone please help thx !
