Guest guest
The general anti-life panel: Last June, after President Barack Obama signed the $787 billion stimulus law that included funding for a Federal Coordinating Council for Comparative Effectiveness Research, thus pre-positioning the federal infrastructure that would be needed to guide federal health care rationing decisions under a new national health care system, http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/66655 Then the health care bill included two new bureaucracies with powers to impose future rationing: the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute and the Independent Payments Advisory Board. Look at the chart at the bottom of the page, and then tell me, with a straight face, that costs are going to decrease and quality is going to increase. http://www.house.gov/apps/list/press/tx08_brady/pr_100728_hc_chart.html Here's Obama's budget adviser talking about their secret, dirty and under-handed scheme to betray the American people: http://www.breitbart.tv/obamas-budget-director-powerful-rationing-panel-not-doctors-will-control-health-care-levels/ " The so-called “death panel” is not Page 2,721, Paragraph 19, Sub-section (d), but the entire bill — because it inserts the power of the state between you and your doctor, and in effect assumes jurisdiction over your body. " --Mark Steyn A good article by Dr. Groopman on " who knows best? " He provides a thorough, well-documented analysis: http://www.nybooks.com/articles/archives/2010/feb/11/health-care-who-knows-best/?page=1 Dr. Groopman notes, " Other “quality measures” recommended by the government were carried out in community health centers to improve the condition of patients with asthma, diabetes, and hypertension. The conclusion of subsequent research was that there was, as a result, no change in outcome for any of these three disorders. " The Medicare anti-life panel: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703792304574504020025055040.html Rationing to support a bloated government monstrosity = anti-life. The time will come when, unless you have your own means, care will be minimal. Once your doctor has gone through his government check list (as is the case with Francis), you will be given a gaggle of pills and sent on your way to die. You will note that Canadian prime ministers come to the U.S. for their heart surgeries. My congressman, Polis, anticipating the advent of rationing and socialized medicine (for which he voted) has created a medical tourism company to provide medical care travel for those who can afford it. In time, he will do very well on that enterprise. This will continue until government gets off our backs: The more you know, the better. Pay attention because your life depends on it. Val From: hyperaldosteronism [mailto:hyperaldosteronism ] On Behalf Of Clarence Grim I am aware of no death panels. Please document what you are talking about. Just the implementation is different that presented by the media. Again there are no death panels. Stop this myth. I understand that " death panel " might be a distasteful term, but it is descriptive and appropriate. Why soft-pedal and try to deceive the public?
