colostrum-- the magic sleeping pill?

Four days ago I got a shipment of colostrum in, which I'm going to take to

help stimulate the anabolic response to weight lifting. I've had a lot of

success with it in the past.

I also read that it helps raise seratonin levels, so I thought that taking it

before bed might help me sleep.

On the same day, I shift potatoes from the middle of my feast meal to the

last thing that I eat, (preceeded by a half gallon of kefir for the tryptophan).

I think this may have helped, but Wednesday night I was not home and didn't

eat potatoes last, and still had the effect on sleep I'll describe shortly, so

I think the colostrum is key.

I've been having trouble sleeping lately, in fact have for years, and it

increased when school started. Basically I'll get 8 hours sleep for two nights,

and then I'll have one or two nights where I can't fall asleep for hours.

Three nights in a row I took the colostrum, about a gram or two before bed on

an empty stomach, and I've fallen asleep within 5-10 minutes and got my 8

hours sleep. Two of those nights I actually woke up just before my alarm clock

went off.

Last night was the exception to falling right to sleep. However: I

discovered something rather disappointing and irritating right before bed, which

put me

in a bad mood. I still was close to falling asleep anyway, when someone

called. Then I went back to bed and as I was falling asleep, someone called

again, and after that I couldn't sleep.

So I watched a little tv, then went back to bed. Despite falling asleep at

least an hour after I wanted to, I still woke up 10 minutes before my alarm

clock went off!

So, while it's only been four days, and I'll have to wait and see if I get

continued results, it seems the colostrum is not only helping me sleep, but

making the sleep much more healing and effective.
