I was imagining it simply as a different event. My feeling is that there is room for different events in different parts of the world, whether they are called conferences or not. I guess one based in Samoa could be called a Pacific conference? Or not! I have no idea how many people would come. You might well get people from around the Pacific as well as NZ, Australia and Asia ... but I have no idea! Many of them might not be on this list. I would have no hope at this stage of getting to a gathering in North America. I might manage one in Samoa (although I'm not completely sure about that either.) Again, I guess it just comes back to there being room for lots of different ideas and events. Well that's my penny's worth anyway.
