Thanks Val, good to know about the nausea - that tends to be my default side

effect from most meds, so if I go that route I'll start slowly!

As for " bread, buns, infused meat, condiments, fast food or anything canned or

prepared " - I've avoided all of that stuff my whole life whenever possible, and

I think it's good common sense for everybody to follow. But especially for those

of us with PA. We don't need the sodium, and we definitely don't need the empty

calories.

As Regan said: Trust but verify. Please have your health care team do a Na, K and creatinine in a 24 hr urine or even a spot urine is better than none. Thanks Val, good to know about the nausea - that tends to be my default side effect from most meds, so if I go that route I'll start slowly! As for "bread, buns, infused meat, condiments, fast food or anything canned or prepared" - I've avoided all of that stuff my whole life whenever possible, and I think it's good common sense for everybody to follow. My chemist compounds promethazine gel. For nausea . Have y'all tried it? I swear by it. I use it for cluster/ migraine headaches and for side effects from migraine meds. The only side effect is sometimes I get a little sleepy which is usually a blessing.

Haven't tried it; since nausea is usually only a problem for me when it's caused

by medications in the first place I tend to think of that as a pretty good

indication that I don't tolerate the med in question. But since Inspra is going

to be a last resort for me, I'm going to keep this in mind - thanks!

Good luck! I agree about not wanting to continue a drug I donttolerate well. But it is nice to have the promethazine. They may try to give you the tablet from but don't take it. It takes about 40 minutes to work and why take another tablet when feeling ill. The gel is rubbed on your wrists forearms and works very fast.
