Guest guest
I had the inflamed pulp and nerve removed from a molar on Monday and have a temporary stopping in the tooth. The inflammation was caused by tooth grinding which itself was caused by stress. A few hours later I developed severe diarrhoea, dyspepsia, nausea. Yesterday I had a fever. (In preceding weeks I had nuch milder occasional dyspepsia in the mornings.) The dentist says they have never come across such symptoms as a reaction to local dental anaesthetic nor to the temporary stopping (which, by the way makes my mouth taste of TCP.) If anyone knows of any plausible connection to the dental work please post here or off-list. I also need to decide what to do about having a root canal - of course the dentist is very keen, with a crown the cost may bump up to £800 - £1,000)but are the stories about rtoot canals undermining health true, and should I have an extraction. My immune system is not good - stress, thyroid problems and diabetes, so this needs to be taken into account in making the decision. Margaret Sadly, the problem with the tooth started with the dental dam and the removal of the mercury filling from that tooth four years ago - it's grumbled away ever since.(:
