Guest guest
namaste shishir, in my opinion... marketing. i mean, sure, there are scents that are traditionally associate with gender... floral for woman, spice for men... but these are simply culturally imposed views. a man must not be delicate, a woman must not be powerful. when, in truth, much of the same ingredients are present in both, say, EINSOF for women or EINSOF for men. one is usually only heavier in it's base notes or higher in florals for women. i know both men and women who wear, say, chanel #5 or old spice. (heaven help them both.) depends on whom you are trying to sell to... a stereotypical male thought process or a stereotypical female thought process. but who wants to be a stereotype anyway? aroma is an emotional response- whether one realises it or not. and to break free of outdated, confining parameters of scent is to fully embrace the entire range of human emotion. but then again, this is my opinion... and i am NOT a marketer. i am a human being. much light! einsof
