Guest guest
I ended up in the ER Friday night, yet again. I was having severe chest pains and palpitations. Turned out my potassium was 2.6! So they gave me 3 HUGE horse pills of potassium and sent me home with a prescription for 40meq of potassium (up from my current potassium supplement of 8meq) and was told to cut my 50mg of hct in half. I'm still not feeling quite right, and hadn't been all week, thus my absence this last week. I hope to be feeling better this coming week and get some work done on the database. Had an MRI angio of the renal veins this last week, no results yet. And endo is getting approval from insurance for AVS. BP has been in good ranges if not a little on the low side at times this last week on the new meds...but considering the Potassium is low those meds may be changing again when I see doctors this coming week. I'm trying to get all the doctors on the same page, right now it seems that cardio is going in another direction from endo, and primary well I'm actually considering changing her despite loving her staff. I'm tired of barely functioning through my day, I've got enough to deal with in just my normal life without being sick. And things only seem to be getting worse, symptoms are worse and new ones popping up. I'm dashing now and teaching family members about my low sodium needs. I'm eating tons of potassium but seem to be losing more than I ingest I guess. I'm so tired all the time its not funny. The only thing that seems to have improved very slightly is the swelling.
