Hi Cheryl,

n sounds like ! When she was younger I took her to all those "mommy & me" type classes - kindermusik, a kids gym, etc., etc. and she NEVER participated - she only sat on my lap and watched the other kids. When I am not around, however, she is fine! I watched her at a birthday party on Sunday and she gets in there with the best of them! She is a little tomboy and plays with all the boys and gives them as much of the "rough" treatment as any of the other little boys and they give it right back to her. She takes it in stride though.

I'm nervous about swim lessons - we start the first weekend in October, and although I will be in the class, I won't be in the pool with her. I half expect her to pitch a fit and not participate b/c of my presence in the room. I hope she is good about it!

Glad things are going well for you guys at the start of school. how is your kindergartner doing?Take care,

Donna

I think he will be ok, it sounds like he was fine during the class and actually talked. He even told the teacher that "my mom will be happy becaused I talked to a friend today". We did a parent-child class last year and he didn't interact with anyone, and the teacher never heard him talk until the end. Monday was a parent-child welcome class and when the teacher asked him his name, he turned his back on her and looked at me. There was boy from his class last year who wanted to play with him and gave him toys, and n didn't even look his way. I felt so bad because the little boy was asking me why n didn't want to play with him. So for the last few days I've been prepping n that if his friend from last year talks to him, he needs to talk to him, etc. He seems to be looking forward to going to school again on Friday. It sounds like your little girl is adjusting and hopefully past

the years. It is just so hard and you want(need) to be strong for them and don't want them to see you crying.> > From: c_kleist <ckleist@... >> Subject: S & L #2> To: exercisevideos@ yahoogroups. com> Date: Wednesday, September 10, 2008, 2:24
