Bourbonais > L'Hermite Aromatique Hi , Thanks for the information! I am revising what I wrote and take out the reference to the fossilized amber being a mineral. As you point out since it from an organic life form, it does not fit the definition of a mineral. Thanks again, Will

After years of mineral being inorganic, recently....In the 80's I believe, they did open an organic class into the minerals... The thing, is, for all the time before, a mineral was classed as an inorganic...Such I was taught in school.... Then they go change the rules on us, and it takes a while to work it into the knowledge base... So...in reality Will, you were correct, according to the most modern classification....Amber, though organic, is considered a mineral... It's like when my beloved brontosaurus, that I, and everybody else had read about for many years, was renamed apatosaurus, as that had actually been its name first, but brontosaurus had got all the publicity...... Care.... -- W. Bourbonais L'Hermite Aromatique A.J.P. (GIA) http://www.facebook.com/Le.Hermite PS...At one point they were going to redefine many of the dinosaurs as archosaurs....Sheesh...!
