Guest guest
Steve What I love about France is in the supermarket you can buy: rabbit duck venison horse beef pork lamb veal Chicken turkey Probably other foul too like pigeon etc And all the innards thereof! In England, all you can get is chicken, turkey, pork, beef and lamb. And in Sainsburys I can't even buy organ meats!!! (I wanted them for my cats not for me) So I'd have thought there's be plenty of " ordinary " meat for you to try before trying the disquieting parts! But if that's really what you want, try eating some of the sausages. The flesh of the sausage is stuff like pig lips, stringy stuff, eyelids, ears etc - some parts are even identifiable! I grew up eating everything the pig had to offer. Feet, ears, tail, jaws (hog maws), intestines, as well as the " normal " cuts of meat. Never thought anything of it until I became an adult.
