Guest guest
Betsy, >Here's an article about carbs that Ori wrote in his Warrior Diet weekly newsletter... Thanks for sending this article. And at the risk of sounding ridiculous, can you or someone tell me who Ori is? I have been attempting to follow (most recently) the different postings on one's experience with the warrior diet. I have even myself been modifying my diet to try it, although I'm sure I'm not doing it exactly as it is suggested. What I'm finding is that my appetite is not as intense, I can go for longer periods of time without eating and my energy seems to be stable. I would like to have more lean muscle, perhaps lose a few pounds and simplify my life. I saw that Heidi had said it's giving her an extra 2 hours a day (without all the food prep, etc) and that also a good thing for me. You mention the newsletter. Is there a web site to find out more about the warrior diet and/or Ori? Janice

He has a website, www.warriordiet.com that gives an overview of the diet. He also has a book that details the diet, and mentioned he has a new book that will discuss the science behind his diet. He puts out a weekly newsletter that you can sign up for at www.dragondoor.com. Betsy
Guest guest
>> I really think it depends on the person. The only truly low-carb diet I've done is the anti-candida diet. The opposite happened to me-- I lost my appetite, and my energy with as well, and about 5 pounds. But that really supports what Ori's saying-- with the caveat that everyone's different. << I think you'd need to differentiate the impact of the diet from the impact of candida-die off, which can have horrible symptoms. I agree everyone is different, though. But I'm on a few Atkins lists, some of which have thousands of members, and again and again people say " I can't believe I'm not hungry and how much energy I have! " Obviously for some it's not right, but I'd say less hunger, less cravings, and more energy is the rule more than the exception.
