Howdy!

I hope I don't make this " newby drive you batty with questions Sunday. "

I'm a gal on a budget and am infusing loco! I am not sure if I am infusing the

best for my buck and ability. I was wondering if you had any methods besides

mine you would recommend. Usually my better infusing process goes something like

this:

I take say Orris powder and barely cover and mix it with grain alcohol. I then

warm it until the orris soaks in the alcohol. I then fill about a 1/4 th inch

above the powder with frac coco oil and warm for and hour and let sit for about

a week or longer until it smells like a musty old sock I really want to rub all

over my body.

This seems to work for Costus, and Vanilla bean but say for dried herbs

like Blue Chamomile I do not have such luck. It doesn't turn blue and it smells

slightly off.

I also have a terrible time trying to extract a nice powerful oil from resins

or absolutes like Linden blossom. I try to use a tiny bit of alcohol to absolute

to liquidate then fill the bottle with oil and heat.

I make perfume oils and solids and don't like the floaters that make it look

like I am making product in a " Hoarders " kitchen(see disturbing tv show).

Thank you,

Kaitlyn " I'm sure someday I will like bergamot better than beets " ni Donovan
