Guest guest
On free day you can do whatever you want. Work out, don't work out, just do something different, not your regular routine. And remember, a pound is 3500 calories, you would have had to eaten 3500 ABOVE what it takes to just sustain your metabolism to gain a pound. Drink a whole lot of water with a bit of lemon in it, don't beat yourself up. Eat right today and move forward. Some diet person said, " One day at a time, no guilt and move on. " (might have been Bill, can't remember) I think its time for me to reread my book. Sheila > Well i think i need to stay away from the free day for awhile. Guest guest
You can do whatever you want on free day, eat more, eat less, do some recreational exercise, lounge on the couch all day. The point is just to take a break from hard training and restrictive dieting. It's as much a mental break as anything else. There's no rule that you have to eat junk food and lie motionless all day. :-) Do whatever feels right to give yourself an enjoyable break. It doesn't have to be forced unhealthiness, not unless you're in the mood to go a bit bonkers. Sometimes we NEED to do that to remind ourselves that pigging out and slacking isn't all it's cracked up to be. ;-) It's normal to gain as much as 5-6 pounds of water weight the day after a crazy free day. It's only water from the excess sodium and carbs you consumed, not fat. So don't feel like you've blown it. You'll be back to your pre-free day weight in a few days, and maybe even down another pound or two at the end of the week. > Well i think i need to stay away from the free day for awhile.
