Guest guest
Docs: Recently I've noticed a sharp, burning pain from my anterior lower left leg down the top of my left foot to the big toe when I plantar flex my big toe or perhaps cross my ankles when I'm laying down and inadvertently rub my right Achilles tendon over the top (anterior) portion of my left lower leg at about ankle level. I can also reproduce the pain by pressing my thumb into the front of my left lower leg at, again, about ankle level. So, I'm assuming it's the anterior tibial nerve, but I'm not sure what I did to stir it up. Any suggestions for resolving this conditon? It doesn't bother me walking, etc., so it's not inhibiting my lifestyle. It only does it when I plantar flex and point my big toe. And I do get some numbness/tingling along that same trajectory if I hold the foot in plantar flexion for a few seconds. Lyndon McGill, D.C.
