Downward dog doesn't bother my knees, it hurts my hands/arms because I weigh too much to support my weight for that long of a time. The exercise in SIU stretches my calf muscles so I'm suppose to bend and straighten my legs so I don't want to keep them bent. Keeping them wider does help a lot, thanks for letting me know that it's still a good exercise doing that. Jen Tonya - wrote: Jen, Great job. Yes, taking the feet a little wider is fine. You can also bend your knees to make that a little easier. With your knee issues, you may want to do that anyway, even once it gets easier to do. I did Start It Up! by Beachbody.com, the videotape version. It was 50.89 minutes long and the Yoga at the end almost KILLED ME! I can tell that I am really out of shape now because the pilets in the video

were bothering me and some of the other simple moves too that didn't bother me before. The squats didn't bother my knees at all which is how I can tell that I'm doing them right! When I was interpreting for a Deaf client she was doing squats incorrectly and putting her knee way over her ankle...I wanted to slap the physical therapist for not correcting her! Anyway, the yoga at the end has always been hard for me because it's a long workout and my arms are all ready tired. But BOY am I OUT OF SHAPE! I cheated on the downward dog/calf stretches by keeping my legs very wide, do you think that's ok??? If I didn't do that then no way I would have been able to do it that long, I would have collapsed! I used the resistance bands with this workout but tmw I'm going to use weights. TO (Exercise Videos) how about trying the bands instead of weights tmw??? Jen
