Great job on sticking with the rotation and finishing it. I would

have but ended up getting sick. I'm with you on R & C being really

tough. I agree, Ripped can be done 3x per week, and even S & L could

be 3x, but R & C just twice, unless you're in really great shape. I

was starting to feel like you after a week of R & C and had wondered if

that contributed to me getting sick because all of a sudden my

allergies and asthma got out of control.

Any way, I'm hoping to start working out next week. Will be starting

w/ Ripped and then move to S & L for awhile, but I think I'll just

stick w/ 2x a week until we get a good hard frost and my allergies

settle down.

however, the other 4 workouts should be done only twice a week. the rotation is ambitious and while i felt quite good all month, at the end of the rotation im feeling tired and sore, maybe over-trained.

I totally agree with you Carolyn. Though I didn't do the rotation I could totally see doing the others more than once would be a lot.

Good for you for finishing it through. :)

Do you know of any? My boys have terrible immune systems...they have

never been in daycare, but as soon as school starts they are sick every

few weeks. I started drinking green tea last winter and knock on wood

that helped me a lot, but I haven't been drinking it much, last year I

was drinking around 3-4 cups a day. I've also heard some

herbs/supplements are good. Quercitin (found in onions and garlic) is

good for allergies. Echinacea is supposed to be as well, but should be

avoided if you have hay fever because it is derived from golden rod.

hiya!today was my last time doing a ripped workout in the september rotation!ripped & chiseled was on for today even though i was still feeling some doms from doing that workout on tuesday!i had to actually really lower my weights, instead of increasing as per usual. man that is a tough workout, even with modifications. like i said before, the sets are ridiculously endless. i would like this workout if the sets were shorter and we could use some heavier weights. also there is no ab track this time, but the ab workout from one of the other ripped workouts is included separately on the menu.so, all i have left to do this week to finish off the rotation is a walk tomorrow, followed by yoga. i hope that the yoga helps me to feel better -- im very sore in the whole upper body right now and my neck has been killing me for some time. also my right shoulder seems to have a bit more pain

than just doms tonight :( its time for a week of rest and recovery... ahhhh.about the rotation in general, i have some thoughts for next year:- its ok to do the first workout, 'ripped', three times a week in week 1.- however, the other 4 workouts should be done only twice a week. the rotation is ambitious and while i felt quite good all month, at the end of the rotation im feeling tired and sore, maybe over-trained.- walking for cardio while doing the ripped workouts was a good idea however the emphasis now switches to cardioso my checkin for the past two days goes like this:- thurs oct 2 - walked for 57 mins, 314 cals. i did not do my abs or stretch :( i was tired!- fri oct 3 - walked for 58 mins, did R & C, followed by two segments of perfect in 10 stretch (73 mins)... total of 131 mins, 573 cals.:*carolyn.

thanks darcy! im feeling good. also, i have to tell you all

that ive informed my kids that im now refusing to buy any junk

food! no chips, cookies, chocolate, cake, pie, candy! the kids

seem a bit peeved, but i said that they would thank me later when

they are older. also i eat their junk and it is not making my

butt any smaller. i told them that i would bake them low fat

brownies and PB cookies made with splenda, etc. any good recipes?

for an immunity booster, i take vitamin C. normally 2000 mg a

day, and i increase that if i get a cold. i also take a good

daily (2 times a day actually) multivitamin. i also take

acidophilus every day. i give the kids a multivitamin every

day (flintstones) and give them an extra one if they get a cold.

it takes time for all of this stuff to work though... ive

been taking these, every single day, for well over a year. i may

have gotten benefit before, but now i can definitely say that

things have improved for me.

precisely why i cant take echinacea, so i dont know if it works

or not.

thanks, I'm doing all that (except for acidophilus), plus I take

extra calcium and and an additional 2,000 mg of vitamin D.

Osteoporosis runs in the family and after breastfeeding both kids,

I'm very concerned about my bone density (also have a small frame and

under the 127lb rule). My dr won't do a bone scan because I'm too

young and it's not covered under insurance. I try to eat yogurt or

drink kefir, but not daily. Kefir is like a drinkable yogurt and the

boys like it w/ blueberries and granola. Kefir also has vitamin K

and that is good for bone density in that is slows down the re-

absorbtion process to build up more density if that makes any sense.

My son's gi dr told me the best way is thru yogurt because in the

supplements most of the bacteria is dead. I even take extra

betacarotene because I read that can help combat sun damage and I

think is also good for the lungs.
