Guest guest
Hi Folks... In the past, the subject of fossil Hyrax dung as an essence source has come up... The fossil dung also preserves the pollen from the time, also, and as a result, information can be derived as to climate, the flora, etc. by Paleo types.... They are kinda a weird group of animals....In the past they were as big as elephants...In their way, they are stranger than the platypus... I belong to a mail list called Wisegeeks...They send out a daily email about something that's often interesting...Today's was on Hyrax.... http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-hyrax.htm?m What I found interesting, after fooling with Google a bit, too, is that even current members of the clan, if you would, have a prominent dorsal (on the back) scent gland... Ma Gaia is so cool....<G>...! Care... -- W. Bourbonais L'Hermite Aromatique A.J.P. (GIA) http://www.facebook.com/Le.Hermite
